It’s the best day of the year – Brooklyn Pride! Begin your celebration getting high on endorphins as you take on Prospect Park with your fellow revelers in the 25th Annual Brooklyn Pride LGBTQIA+ 5K! While the exact logistics are currently being sorted, know that the race organizers are committed to putting on a safe and fun event for everyone involved.
Not going to be around for Pride this year? Unsure about being in groups of people just yet? Nowhere near Brooklyn but just really want a cool t-shirt and medal for your efforts? You’re in luck because we’ve kept the virtual option this year as well. You’ll still get all the swag and satisfaction of supporting a wonderful cause.
Runners with questions should contact: priderun@brooklynpride.org
And if running just isn’t your thing, you have the option to donate to the event and Brooklyn Pride as a whole. There’s no way to lose with this.
What are you waiting for? Register today!
Of course, a portion of your registration fee will go toward Brooklyn Pride's Volunteer Grant, designed to celebrate local non-profit organizations that provide direct support services to the LGBTQIA+ community. This year's Volunteer Grant recipient is Gotham Cheer! They’re a nonprofit adult cheerleading team that was created to give back to those who are in need, particularly LGBTQ homeless or disadvantaged youth. The group has been putting on virtual events and recording videos to spread the love during the pandemic, and the grant will allow them to be able to continue doing so.
The race is co-sponsored by Brooklyn Pride and Front Runners New York and presented by Maimonides Medical Center.
