Apply For The LGBTQIA+ 5K Run Volunteer Grant


How it works:

  • The Brooklyn Pride Inc. Volunteer Grant is funded by net profits from our Brooklyn Pride LGBTQIA+ 5K Run registration fees.

  • Organizations, who qualify for non-profit status under IRS Code, are encouraged to apply for grant funding.

  • Applications for funding to support a program or event that welcomes or celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community will be reviewed by the Brooklyn Pride LGBTQIA+ Race Directors.

  • If selected, the organization will agree to provide 5 volunteers for our 5K Run to receive up to a $1,000 grant.

  • A check for grant funding will be presented to your organization at the Brooklyn Pride Volunteer Thank You Celebration, held in mid-July.

Interested in submitting an application? Please make sure you have the following information available:

  • A brief summary and mission statement of your organization (to be published in Brooklyn Pride Guide, if selected).

  • High Resolution organization logo or graphic (to be published in Brooklyn Pride Guide, if selected).

  • List of organization officers and directors.

  • A brief summary of how you will use the funding.

  • Relevant documentation of non-profit status under IRS Code.

  • Most recent annual report or Form 990 (dated within 1 year of application submission).

  • W9 (dated within 1 year of application submission).
