Brooklyn Pride has been putting both amateur and mainstream artists on our stage for the past 16 years. Our artists have included bands, solo musicians, comedians, dance troupes, drag performers and much more. All our artists generously donate their time and talent to support our fight for diversity and equality.
We are inviting requests from musicians and all performing artists interested in appearing on our stage to help celebrate our 16th Annual Brooklyn Pride Celebration this June. Performers of all genres and cultures are encouraged to contact, Luscious Lola, our Entertainment Committee Chair with their request to be featured on our stage. This year’s stage will showcase approximately 15 to 20 artists and our attendance is expected to be between 35,000 to 40,000 people.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SUBMISSION REQUEST AND PARTICIPATION ON OUR STAGE
1. Entry deadline is May 1, 2012.
2. There are NO submission or processing fees.
3. Entertainment booth will be available for artists to sell merchandise at the festival.
4. Picture and bio will be used in the Official Brooklyn Pride, Inc. Pride Guide and on our website.
5. Food and refreshments will be provided to all performers in the VIP section at the festival.
6. Each act will be allowed the maximum of two (2) guest tickets into the VIP section at the stage area.
7. All performances MUST be family friendly.
To be considered for our Pride 2012 Entertainment Lineup, please complete the below application in its ENTIRETY. After you have completed the form, please submit your press kit electronically to Brooklyn Pride’s Entertainment Committee at entertainment@brooklynpride.org. Please note that your press kit must include your bio, picture (in a high res format) and a sample of your work.
NOTE: Due to the high volume of submissions, we will only be taking electronic submissions into consideration.
