Interfaith Service – Planning in the works

Brooklyn Pride Interfaith

Interfaith

Many members of our LGBTQIA community family were raised in various faiths, but may have left for different, and personal reasons. Brooklyn Pride recognizes the importance of, and appreciates the support it has received over the years from various communities of faith, and as part of Brooklyn Pride Week, we hold an Interfaith Service at a different House of Worship each year. The invitation is open to all to come hear restorative and uplifting words from various members of the clergy along with various styles of music. A time of fellowship and light refreshments follows the Interfaith Service.

Past Interfaith Services have been held at locations including, Union Temple, Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church, First Congregational Unitarian Church, St Ann & the Hold Trinity Church and Brooklyn Heights Synagogue.

We are beginning to plan this years Interfaith Service.  We would love your feedback and suggestions for locations and participants.  We have not held an interfaith event at a mosque, so if you know of an affirming one that might be interested in hosting, please let us know!
