Atlantic Avenue will be beaming with pride for the first ever “Pride on Atlantic Ave” event. The Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation, in collaboration with Brooklyn Pride, is excited to launch this colorful celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community on Sunday, June 13, 12-5pm with food, drinks, shopping and music. Start your celebration with a week of Brooklyn Pride events leading up to their 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, June 12th.

Then join us on Brooklyn’s proudest historic avenue, from the Waterfront to Fourth Avenue. Pride month is a vibrant, rainbow-filled recognition of the LGBTQIA+ community and the fight for equal rights. “Pride on Atlantic Ave” will celebrate the community and how much has been accomplished.

Local Atlantic Avenue businesses will show their support for pride with festively, rainbow decorated windows and outdoor dining fences. There will be promotions, discounts, art exhibitions and special offers. Local bars will celebrate with specially created pride cocktails for attendees to enjoy. Everyone is encouraged to come and show their pride with creative outfits, hair, and accessories. Then to post their photos taken that day in front of an Atlantic Avenue business to Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #AtlanticAvenuePride for a chance to be declared the ‘Best Pride Ambassador’ and awarded a prize. There will also be music along the Avenue to welcome and entertain event goers as they shop, dine and stroll.
