Brooklyn Pride 21 is a wrap!

As we look back and an emotional and amazing 21st Brooklyn Pride week, we just want to take a moment say a huge THANK YOU to so many people. It truly takes a village to make a week like this happen. From our sponsors and amazing community partners, to our incomparable volunteers. These events simply don’t happen without all of you and your support.

We are so happy that we were able to extend our festival by two blocks to allow more community gathering space and increasing the percentage of non-profits and community organizations that participated. We strive for our events to be a place where people can connect to the services and plan the advocacy that will move our community toward Equality. No Exceptions!

We were excited to be able to include a T/GNC category in our 5K Pride Run for the first time this year and sell out the race for the fourth year in a row! Our parade was among the largest we’ve ever had and our week of events helped us to connect with more folks than ever before.

We were incredibly humbled by all of the love we experienced from our community and our allies. There has been so much hate, in both words and deeds, in the year since our last Brooklyn Pride week and the only thing that can drive that away is love and unity. We have seen so much of that over the past week.

We thank you all for participating and for all of your feedback and work to help us to keep getting better! Hope to see you all in Manhattan next week! HAPPY PRIDE!
